Lilies signify the time is right to act upon a long-thought upon plan. Further, they indicate we are coming into a fuller integration of ourselves and developing personal balance. Their essence encourages us to seek rest, peace and tranquility. The lily symbolizes purity, innocence and fertility as well as vulnerability, along with the freedom to be ourselves while allowing others to be as they are too. The lily signals growth, development, and a quality of innocence in our lives. All lilies bring joyful celebration and the energy of compassion. Lily flower essences offer us a portal to a gentler, more loving, and compassionate way of being and guide us to the life of the Divine. The very pure and high frequencies of the lily flowers bring us celebratory delight, the delicate sensing and feeling of nature around us and a strong sense of recognizing our own full personal energetic space, sometimes for the first time. I created “Bluebird” by hand drawing on rice paper with ink and then using watercolours along with a beeswax resist working from light to dark. My creative works emerge via a tranquil, meditative process that frees me to explore and experiment with line, shape and colour.
This artwork is a reflective piece expressing my need to bring order to chaos, to make art that provides a peaceful and meditative experience, where I lose myself in the creative process. I created this artpiece by hand drawing on rice paper with ink and then using watercolour with a wax resist, and embellishing with gel pen accents. My creative works emerge via a tranquil, meditative process that frees me to explore and experiment with line, shape and colour.
