I've always been fascinated with hand and fingerprints, and have also studied a bit of palmistry. I was amazed to find my Thumbprint actually carrying alpha markings for my maiden name initials J.A.! This pen and ink was done by magnifying an ink-pad print of my thumbprint, penciling the lines and ridges onto paper and then applying pen and ink and watercolor.
